About MMIWR Indian Country
MMIWR (Missing and Murdered Indigeous Women and Relatives) Indian Country was created to provide advocacy, awareness, prevention-oriented resources, and legal support for relatives of a missing or murdered indigenous person in Indian Country.
MMIWR was founded by Darlene Gomez, an attorney with decades of experience Indian Law, Complex Family Law, who has provided over $4 Million in pro bono casework on behalf of missing and murdered Indigenous women and relatives.
